Physical Description: Simon is approximately six feet in height. He has thick black hair, fair skin, and blue eyes and he carries himself in a way that easily betrays his privileged heritage with his chin up, back straight and shoulders back. He is lean, but not unhealthily so, and is in top physical condition (though, you'd never know it just by looking at him—silly man hides this aspect well with the clothes he wears). Regardless of the lifestyle, Simon is sure to be dressed properly and to be well-groomed whenever possible.

Personality: The first lasting impression one gets upon meeting Simon Tam is that he is an uptight prude. A 'stuffed shirt', so to speak. And impression that is rarely ever proven wrong, as Simon is reserved to the point of seeming cold and he is nothing if not dignified. Any sign of intense emotion is rare, foul language is only ever used when appropriate and his manners are impeccable if not professional. He is meticulous, cautious, manipulative, and very well-planned—it's when he's unexpectedly thrown into a situation when he stumbles blind. He holds little faith in government or any other outside sources beyond his sister, and he trusts them even less. Interactions with other people are kept strictly professional—any concern is out of interest as a doctor, and small talk is just that—small. He has every intention to keep himself wary of others, if he can help it.

Yet, cliché as it may be, beneath this rigid exterior Simon has a good heart and, as prissy as he may seem, he is no weakling. He is adept at keeping a cool head in times of crisis, a trait that plays well in his chosen profession, and he will not run unless the option is all that's left to choose from. He is stubborn, intelligent, and when there is work to be done he will not remain idle if he can help. When it comes to his sister (as well as those who've managed to gain his trust), he is unconditionally devoted and he will not hesitate to lie, steal, cheat, and even give up every last bit of comfort if it means keeping those he holds dear safe.

He will hesitate to kill, though. As a doctor, he holds the Hippocratic Oath as most sacred and while he is willing to go to many extremes to protect the ones he loves, this oath prevents him from killing or harming others regardless of the reason. Yet 'prevent' does not mean he won't do it if given absolutely no other choice. When not forced to incapacitate someone, others come first (however well he hides this from others). He is stubborn and selfless enough to still attempt to doctor others who have been wounded even if he himself has suffered wounds of his own.

Like a large majority of men, Simon has no tact. He has managed to hide this facet of himself beneath layers and layers of etiquette and professionalism, but when it comes down to it, he has no idea how to talk to other people. He is completely awkward with all but his sister and it's almost certain that if he allows himself to open up he will most likely offend someone with an unintentional blunder. This affliction, also known as "Open Mouth Insert Foot Syndrome" is ten times worse with women—because Simon has at least had some experience interacting with men. Women are a whole world apart. Fortunately for Simon, though, he does have a sense of humor and he has even shown to possess a dry, sarcastic wit.

Abilities/Strengths/Weaponry: As mentioned above, Simon is especially skilled at keeping a level head in times of crisis. Blood, gore and violence have little effect and it is usually he who ends up asking a panicked relative of a patient to step back. Relax, breathe. Let him do his job. He is extraordinarily intelligent, allowing him to excel effortlessly in comparison to those around him and also find solutions to problems that would otherwise force even the bravest to back down. Though a large part of this intelligence lies with his books (considering he tends to know just about all there is to know about everything), he is also good at planning and carrying out the infiltration of highly secured areas with hardly a sweat. And with enough time to prepare and plan in advance, he is a very good actor. He is completely and utterly dedicated to his profession as doctor and his role as a brother. He will not run from a conflict unless there is no other way—unless he's trying to protect someone, and, also mentioned before, it takes a lot to deter him from continuing to bandage up the wounded even if he's half dead himself.

Weaknesses: Despite how awesome he is (read: AHAHAHA), Simon does have quite a few weaknesses. For one, he has major issues with talking to others in a casual setting. When professional and uptight there's little room for blunders and when he deviates from this he tends to end up insulting someone, however inadvertently. While his extreme distrust of others prevents him from getting stabbed in the back more often than not, it also tends to isolate him, making it difficult for him to form ties with others and even fit in. Finally, as a doctor, Simon refuses to harm and/or kill another human being which usually gives his opponent the upper hand when he hesitates with making this decision.
